I wonder if the future of patent searching as a profession will change dramatically. A lot of searching duplicates work already done, so I think the future will be based on properly structured databases, easier access & interaction by the public as well as use of mobile communication software and hardware. This will mean greater awareness by the public and hopefully more focused patent applications.
We are working on this right now and the iPad is an ideal tool for such information delivery and management.
